| Open Market Health Care is a method of purchasing health care services directly from any provider of choice. The EquityHealth program is a Direct to Consumer Health Care Service Broker. Through the company’s Community Based Health Benefit (CBHB) program, EquityHealth makes available to employers and individuals a way to buy health care services, in their local community, without the typical restrictions or cost of PPO, POS, or HMO health insurance. The CBHB is a comprehensive health benefit that allows the participant to combine services in whatever combination will best meet their needs. Each participant has access to EquityHealth Health Care Agents that can assist and guide them through their local system, identifying the services available. EquityHealth works with providers and members to assure access to the services the members need for a price they can afford. Providers set their own price, as opposed to accepting assignment from an insurer. That means the CBHB members get access for the health care they need at Market Rates. This allows EquityHealth Program Participants the ability to seek health care services on the basis of value. EquityHealth Value = the number of services included for the price, the convenience of the providers location, and the timeliness of the care delivered. EquityHealth facilitates payment for services using our unique "Health Care Share" payment system. Participants purchase Health Care Shares and then redeem them for health care services. Health Care Shares are transferable amongst family members, can be used to make any health care related payment, and unused Shares accumulate over time to build a Health Security Account for the participating member. The Health Care Share payment system is better than a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account because it does not have to be applied to a High Deductible Health Plan, has no potential tax penalties, and it never expires. When health Care Shares are redeemed for health care services, the transaction is applied to a personal Care History account within the system, ensuring that the medical information gathered during each treatment is recorded, portable and remains the property of the client so it is available as needed for future care issues at the clients discretion. |
